Professional Overview


Leonard Oddo has built a career off of finding opportunities. In short, you could say Leonard’s career centers around making businesses successful, and in turn, making people successful. He has worked in a variety of healthcare administration leadership roles, most notably as a Dynamic Chief Operating Officer with more than 20 years of experience in long-term care facilities. His proven management experience in providing post-acute services for multiple facilities operations is nothing short of exemplary.

Leonard’s incredibly successful run at Grane Healthcare is one of many shining examples and testaments to his great skill as a leader. At Grane, he served as the Chief Operating Officer, where he directed budgeting, new clinical programs, marketing plans, labor contracts, and union negotiations for profitable operations. During his time there, he propelled the company from five nursing homes to 12 facilities with 2,200 beds. He also developed award-winning facilities, resulting in the company’s recognition as one of the best nursing homes on a national scale. He was instrumental in Grane winning the technology award for implementing a remote medicine program and was also in charge of recruiting senior management for a new startup hospice and home care program, resulting in the expansion of a profitable statewide program.

In addition, he started a Rehabilitation Services Company that provides injury and surgery recovery support and launched a startup, long-term pharmacy to meet the needs of facility patients. He also negotiated more than 25 labor contracts with SEIU, Teamsters, USW, and PNA.

Leonard was also the Principal Author of the Administrator in Training Program (AIT), a booklet that helps educate healthcare administrators on the need-to-knows of how to excel in the industry.

Leonard Oddo holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Master of Business Administration in Healthcare from Gannon University, as well as a Pennsylvania Nursing Home Administrator Certification. Leonard is also the Chairman of the Education Committee for the Pennsylvania Board of Examiners for Nursing Home Administrators. He also serves as a Board Member for the Pennsylvania Healthcare Association and as a Board Member of Edgewood Country Club.
